Most of my suggestions are deliberately quite short. You can of course make up your own words

HELP CREATING YOUR OWN WORDS (Get there quickly)

  • Start by feeling the solid ground under your feet

  • Take a deep breath into your diaphragm and blow it out through your mouth

  • Picture the person you have in mind

  • Don’t censor what you see. They might be smiling, crying, content or puzzled. Let them show you what fits for them at this moment

  • If they could give themselves what they need to express or encourage or inspire in themselves what would it be? Listen to them and listen to yourself

  • Imagine these words landing lightly in the hand of the person who will be the gift holder

HELP CREATING YOUR OWN WORDS (Take your time)

What do you want to say on your stone? You want it to be special, to resonate with the person and their place in your life. You want to be delighted with your choice and know the ‘rightness’ of it.

Start by feeling the solid ground under your feet, take off your shoes and wiggle your toes, imagine your feet burrowing in the crumbly earth. Then take a big, deep breath into your diaphragm and blow it out of your lips keeping your jaw soft. Take another breath and then a third.

Picture the person you have in mind. Allow yourself to see what you see and how you see them right now. Don’t censor what you see. They might be smiling, or crying, or content or puzzled. Let them show you what fits for them at this moment. If they could give themselves what they need to express or encourage or inspire in themselves what would it be?

Listen in to them and listen in to yourself or imagine the stone and listen in to its solidity and aged strength. Keep breathing and see what comes to light, like a little mole emerging from the depths. Feel the emotion attached to those words, imagine them landing lightly in the hand of the person who will be the gift holder. Trust yourself and what you hear or see and tell me what you want me to write on your stone.
